European Researchers' Night 2021

The European Researchers' Night is a project designed to highlight, in a fun and engaging way, the work of researchers and its impact on society, as well as to promote scientific, creative, and entrepreneurial careers among young people. It is celebrated in more than 350 European cities.

In Madrid, it is coordinated by the madri+d Foundation. This project is funded by the European Union under the Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.

The curious life of Madame Curie and other women of science

The theater company “La Paca” will transport us to Marie S. Curie's laboratory, where she revolutionized the science of her time. Like her, Hypatia, Madame Lavoisier, Rosalind Franklin, and other women scientists had to overcome the challenges of being women. This play will allow us to analyze, through an engaging and entertaining play-within-a-play format, pressing and current issues related to gender in the scientific field.

Would you like to learn about the European Union through its universities and research centers? Researchers from the Marie S. Curie Actions will share their personal and professional experiences in various European countries where they have studied and conducted research stays thanks to European Union funding. The event will also feature performances by De la Lastra & Arché, two rappers involved in the project. Science Counts From the Rocasolano Institute of Physics and Chemistry of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). This project aims to bring science closer to young people through music.
