Parabere
On the occasion of the publication of ParabereThe presentation of the finalist novel for the Café Gijón Novel Prize will take place, with the participation of authors Andrea Cabrera Kñallinsky and Aldo García Arias, moderated by Constantino Bértolo.
Parabere It tells the story of María Mestayer, better known as the Marchioness of Parabere, who established herself as a leading figure in Spanish gastronomy at the beginning of the 20th century. From her childhood in Seville to her later years in Bilbao and Madrid, Mestayer witnessed and played a part in a turbulent Spain, opening a restaurant during the Civil War that became a scene of intrigue and espionage.
Andrea Cabrera Kñallinsky (Buenos Aires, 1973) is a journalist and author of The Ancestors' Gallery (2023), while Aldo García Arias (Madrid, 1973) has worked in the publishing sector and is a member of the board of directors of the Madrid Booksellers Guild.
