Presentation of the book by Álvaro García Linera and Íñigo Errejón: What a Horizon
Between April 2018 and February 2019, Álvaro García Linera and Íñigo Errejón held a lengthy conversation, between La Paz and Madrid, about the conditions that make it possible for the popular classes to organize and exercise political power today. In a rich exchange of experiences, readings, and lessons learned from the processes of change and struggles in Latin America and Southern Europe, some central questions guided the conversation: Why and how do those in power rule? What conditions are necessary for those at the bottom to raise a new general will? How can this exercise of power transform the State and not just manage it? How can we fight against neoliberal hegemony and transform the conditions and horizons of life? And how can we ensure the sustainability of these gains in contexts of unwavering political pluralism?
The following will speak at the presentation: Alvaro Garcia LineraFormer President of Bolivia, and Inigo Errejon, Member of Parliament for Más País.
