XX Continued Reading of Don Quixote
The traditional Continuous Reading of Don Quixote celebrates its twentieth edition in 2016. This uninterrupted reading will take place over forty-eight hours, and its open nature provides citizens with a lively forum for participation.
The reading will begin at 18: 00 pm of the viernes 22 and will end around 14:00 pm on Sunday the 24rd. The opening of the event will be led by Fernando del Paso, Cervantes Prize 2015. Prominent figures from the world of politics and culture will also participate.

El Círculo de Bellas Artes This initiative, spearheaded by the British Council in collaboration with The Globe Theatre, brings together more than 10 Spanish institutions to organize the first urban tour of all the plays written by William Shakespeare. It will take place simultaneously with the Complete Walk along the banks of the Thames.
The Complete Walk is a journey through 37 short films, each corresponding to one of Shakespeare's 37 plays. el Círculo de Bellas Artes will be projected Julius Caesar; Pericles, Prince of Tyre; Henry IV, Part I; Henry IV, Part II; y Henry v.

Coinciding with Book Day, the CBA presents the DVD edition of the show which Erri de Luca represented in el Círculo In 2009, the book accompanying the recording includes essays by the Italian writer on Don Quixote, an interview with César Rendueles, and a transcript of everything spoken, sung, and recited in the performance. Those who, “always defeated, rise again to fight once more.” They are the focus of Erri de Luca’s theatrical and literary reflection. They are the invincible ones.

Whisperers This project, from the Arts Classroom, part of the Vice-Rectorate for Communication and Culture at Carlos III University of Madrid, is based on an urban performance art intervention conceived by Sergio Blanco. A person occupying a chair in a space at the CBA (Centro de Bellas Artes) will invite anyone who wishes to sit beside them and whisper powerful texts in their ear.
