XXVIII Continuous Reading of Don Quixote
The twenty-eighth Continuous Reading of Don Quixote is underway. As in previous years, we once again glimpse the furrows and footprints left on the path by our beloved knight and his faithful squire Sancho Panza, under the skillful pen of Miguel de Cervantes. A transformative adventure that stops time despite the accelerated inertia of our days and allows us to gather around a book, reflect on the human condition through those traces, and share the pleasure of reading it, not only in Madrid, but throughout Spain and the world.
To participate in the in-person Continuous Reading of Don Quixote, you must register at this link , selecting your preferred date and time. If you are from outside Madrid and wish to participate remotely via a pre-recorded recording, gather at least four other people and write to lectura-quijote@circulobellasartes.com

Barataria (The Fishbowl)
Wednesday, April 24th at 20pm.
As with everything in Don Quixote, the episodes dedicated to Barataria Island allow for several interpretations, which we will explore poetically. On one hand, there is the theme of the abuses of power by the oligarchies, who feel and perform that the people, personified by Sancho, are there to endure whatever they decide. But, from another perspective, it will also serve to explore the humor within the poetic and, in any case, to examine the limits of humor. Participants include Andrea Abello, Ander Villacián, and Alejandro Pérez-Paredes. Free admission with prior reservation.
Words delivered between whispers and scenes (Antonio Palacios Room)
Wednesday, April 24th, from 16pm to 18pm.
Faculty and students from the UC3M Arts Center immerse us in the pleasure of dramatized and whispered readings. Close your eyes and enjoy. 15-minute sessions.
Closure (Fuentecilla)
Thursday, April 25th, around 13 p.m.
Enjoy a truly Manchegan finale, courtesy of Quesos Aldonza and Don Ismael and Vinos de Madrid.
