Raphaël Lonné (1910-1989) He is considered one of the central figures of art brut, defined by the French artist and collector Jean Dubuffet as any artistic practice, intermittent or permanent, carried out by a person "untainted" by culture.

Despite his periods of silence, Raphaël Lonné left behind a significant body of work. Having quickly acquired a remarkable technique, he employed colored pencils, markers, watercolors, and wax crayons, as well as ballpoint pens, India ink, and lead pencils, all of which he handled with great skill. Lonné also produced some vigorous paintings on paper, a kind of relief-like composition that aligns him with the Surrealists.

This volume includes two revealing essays by Josette Rasle and Christian Delacampagne, renowned specialists on his life and work, as well as a wide selection (previously unpublished in Spain) of his works, which together form one of the most unique and thought-provoking collections in the field of art brut.
