La piedra y el aire
His training was closely linked to Basque sculpture workshops, Zamorano He develops his own experimental approach, driven by his fascination with the forms and materials that geologically constitute the island of La Gomera, where he has lived for over twenty years. Trachytes, syenites, phonolites, and basalts become the basic materials of a body of work organized around a dialogue between material and form. It is a strange, almost fidelistic relationship with an origin that takes shape in the variations offered by the island's geology. At this crossroads, a series of themes emerge that, together, uniquely represent the encounter between an identity registered in the mineral condition of its rocks and the artist's idea, which translates into his work the concept that defines, without erasing, the material's original imprint.
