Jorge Molder (Lisbon 1947), a philosopher by training, uses photography as a tool for reflection to address the great conceptual questions of our time. To this end, he employs a unique approach to self-portraiture, which he combines with the creation of scenes and moments rich in cinematic, literary, and artistic references.

Molder, who received the EDP Foundation Grand Prize for Art in 2010, has accumulated more than thirty years of career in which he has held numerous solo exhibitions around the world, and his work is represented in some of the most prestigious international collections.
