Georges Didi-Huberman He is a philosopher and historian. Author of numerous publications on the history and theory of images, among his texts are: What we see, what looks at us (1997) L'Image survivante. He is currently a professor at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Socials in Paris.

Following the medal presentation ceremony, the French philosopher delivered the lecture Planting, questioning, uprising, framed within the project The Great River.
