El Círculo de Bellas Artes Casa Europa celebrated the centenary of Franz Kafka's death with the program Kafka YearA series of multidisciplinary activities commemorated his legacy throughout 2024. Through more than 30 events, the life and work of the writer, considered one of the great founders of modern literature, were explored. The program included art exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and film screenings that addressed his impact on literature, visual arts, film, and the performing arts.

The program was a collaborative effort with institutions such as the Czech Centre in Madrid, the Goethe-Institut, the Austrian Cultural Forum, and the University Institute of Modern Languages ​​and Translators. Through these activities, Kafka's relationship with Spain, his socio-political context, and his transnational vision of human existence were explored in depth. Furthermore, educational activities and creative formats for young people were emphasized, fostering a broader and more accessible understanding of his work.

This tribute offered a unique opportunity to approach Kafka from different artistic and academic perspectives, highlighting his contemporary relevance and his influence on European culture.
