In recent years, consent has gained renewed prominence in the wake of movements like #MeToo, high-profile court cases, and recent penal reforms. Although official discourse always presents consent as a simple, clear, and self-evident concept, it may encompass various possible meanings, confront diverse feminist perspectives, and serve as the foundation for different political projects.

This panel discussion, based on the presentation of the book The Meaning of Consent (Anagrama), in which its author Clara Serra, the philosopher Santiago Alba Rico and the psychoanalyst Jorge Alemán participate, seeks to explore from a philosophical, historical, political, legal and psychological point of view those ambiguities, contradictions, paradoxes and limits that consent poses.
