Within the framework of the centenary of the Surrealist Manifesto, the cycle Philosophy and Surrealism He dedicated a session to exploring the relationship between surrealism and Spanish culture.

Under the title It is dangerous to look inside. Surrealism and Spain 1924–2024The local roots of surrealism were discussed, as well as the impact of figures like Dalí or Buñuel, and the enduring relevance of the surrealist spirit in contemporary expressions such as social media.

The first session of the festival featured Agustín Sánchez Vidal with Pre-surrealist Spain, a journey through the influences preceding surrealism in the Spanish cultural tradition and Anonymous Garcia with Demosurrealist Spain, on the presence of surrealism in current popular language and digital discourses.
