Despite their countercultural origins, the ideology of major technology companies is now closer than ever to political extremism. Figures like Nick Land and Curtis Yarvin, critics of democracy and proponents of authoritarianism, are among the influences of Peter Thiel, founder of Palantir, and Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, and serve as a conduit between Silicon Valley and far-right movements and governments globally.

These sessions focused on the new and urgent threat that this new alliance between political extremism and the large digital companies that are developing the technologies of the future poses to democracy and freedoms.
