Gazan poet Hind Joudah will give a reading of her work as part of the book launch. Ways of Being Palestinian: An Anthology of New Poets (Ediciones del Oriente y el Mediterráneo), a volume in which she participates along with other Palestinian authors.

She was accompanied at the table by Luz Gómez, professor of Arabic Studies at the Autonomous University of Madrid, a renowned specialist in contemporary Arabic literature, as well as editor and translator of this poetic anthology.

Hind Joudah, who left the Gaza Strip in December 2023 and is currently a refugee in Cairo, traveled to Europe to make her voice and those of her contemporaries known. In her verses—and in those of the poets gathered in this work—the word rises as the only weapon against barbarity, violence, and genocide.
