While his remarkable professional career was marked by an unwavering dedication to science, his international work was no less noteworthy, as he was a fervent defender of multilateralism until the very end. And in every facet of his multifaceted life, literature—always the literature of a man of science—is ever-present, evident in the hundreds of writings he left behind, from poetry to essays that reveal the humanist and personal values ​​recognized by those closest to his warm and welcoming personality.

In the tribute to his figure, presented by Charo Izquierdo, we had an institutional welcome from Juan Miguel Hernández León, president ofel Círculo de Bellas Artes, and the interventions of Pilar Alegría, Minister of Education, Vocational Training and Sports, Antônio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, Gabriela Ramos, Assistant Director-General for Social and Human Sciences at UNESCO.

Representatives from the Culture of Peace Foundation, the Ombudsman's Office, the Autonomous University of Madrid, the University of Granada, the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, the Center for Molecular Disease Diagnosis at the Autonomous University of Madrid, the Ramón Areces Foundation, and the Movement for Peace also participated.
