As Sophie Webel, curator of the exhibition, states, Dubuffet (1901-1985) was always passionate about printmaking and, more specifically, lithography, which he began exploring in the autumn of 1944, two years after deciding to dedicate himself to painting. The catalogue revolves around the album titled Les Murs [The Walls], a key series of 15 lithographs created in 1945 by the French artist Jean Dubuffet (1901-1985) to accompany the poems of Eugène Guillevic (1907-1997).
