On June 20, it took place in el Círculo the presentation of the book José Ángel Valente. Write place. José Manuel Mouriño This book delves into the figure of the poet José Ángel Valente, a key figure in 20th-century Spanish literature, whose social and poetic relevance remains undeniable today. The texts that comprise Mouriño's work analyze the connection between Valente and two essential places in his life and work: Galicia, his birthplace and the place to which he longed to return, and Almería, where he lived for more than fifteen years.

The publication includes a documentary film of the same title José Ángel Valente. Write place, a work by the author himself and which was the subject of exposure en el Círculo in the year 2021. The projection proposes to accompany that substantial drift, from one extreme to the other, on which his work glides. A journey between two of the most significant places of his dazzling poetic impetus, a passage between liminal images read in the light of the poetic word.

José Manuel Mouriño is a researcher, essayist, filmmaker, and holds a PhD in Fine Arts from the University of Vigo. He has curated numerous exhibitions related to his research and filmmaking work, including a retrospective of Mikhail Romm for the Spanish Film Archive. He is the author of several essays on filmmakers such as Norman McLaren, Pier Paolo Pasolini, and Michelangelo Antonioni. He has also curated exhibitions on the latter two directors. His work as a film director includes Luís Seoane: Visuality, Memory, and Synthesis (2010); The White Days: Notes on the Filming of Nostalghia by Andrei Tarkovsky (2012); and Being Light (2016), an essayistic documentary project co-directed with Alberto Ruiz de Samaniego.

The presentation included the author, Marifé Santiago Bolaños (PhD in Philosophy from the Complutense University of Madrid), Jesús García Calero (director of ABC Cultural ) and Miguel Copón (researcher, curator, director of RZ100ARTE and author of the soundtrack for the documentary that accompanies the book).
