The sea has risen, revealing all the power and complexity it had previously concealed. Its horizon folds, absorbing everything and transforming the world into part of itself. In this new landscape, three children adrift, marked by a tragedy that has affected both their bodies and minds, find common ground: their connection to the tides and their resolve not to harm any living being. 

Emma Ríos presents a story of eco-horror A post-apocalyptic world where the unsettling coexists with the beautiful, and the strange becomes part of the landscape. A story that doesn't seek easy answers, but rather accompanies the characters (and the reader) on their journey. 

Emma Ríos (Vilagarcía de Arousa, 1976) trained in architecture and self-publishing until, in 2007, she began working professionally in the world of comics. For several years she collaborated with Marvel Entertainment, and in 2014 she returned to creator-owned comics with the series Beautiful Death (Astiberri), in collaboration with Kelly Sue DeConnick. Since then he has signed works such as ID y Mirror, and has co-edited the magazine IcelandHis work has been recognized with several Eisner Award nominations, winning Best Cover Artist in 2020. He is currently working on the fourth volume of Beautiful Death.  An author who combines graphic narrative, genre, and a critical eye to tell stories that go beyond the apocalypse. 

In this activity, Ríos will be accompanied by critics and popularizers Diego Salgado and Elisa McCausland, who will open new readings on her work from the analysis and cultural context.
