R&D&C Forum: Arts and Humanities + Health. 10.11.22
This R&D forum, to be held on November 10 , 2022, will explore the social and cultural dimensions of the health-disease phenomenon. Research conducted at various universities and several success stories from hospitals in the Community of Madrid will serve as a starting point for analysis and discussion. Along these lines, we will address the importance of humanistic training for physicians and of a medicine that considers the patient's perspective and the emotional aspects of illness. We will also discuss the therapeutic benefits of culture in its many forms and the challenges posed by an increasingly aging society. The debate will also include reflections on the challenges of bioethics in 21st-century medicine and how these challenges have evolved with scientific and humanistic advancements.
