Short film workshop: film genres and narrative
This workshop is designed for young people who want to discover, in a practical way, how to make films and create their own short films. The aim is to explore different film genres, as well as various aspects of audiovisual storytelling. Therefore, the short films produced during the workshop will fall into different genres (comedy, thriller, horror) and will address techniques such as the long take, shot-reverse-shot, and handheld camera work.
A creative space will be offered in the classroom, fostering teamwork and allowing young people to take their first steps as creators. In addition, basic audiovisual techniques will be provided, enabling participants to understand the filmmaking process from the inside and appreciate audiovisual works, thus encouraging the development of active and critical viewers. Overall, thanks to the creative potential of film, the workshop will promote the holistic development of young people's personalities and emotional well-being.
Participants will be introduced to various audiovisual disciplines and the equipment used in them, learning the basics of audiovisual storytelling, screenwriting, pre-production, filming, and editing. They will also experience different roles (screenwriting, directing, camera operation, sound, art direction, production, and acting), handling the workshop's technical equipment and performing typical filming tasks.
