Francisco Javier Krahe de Salas (1944-2015), Spanish singer-songwriter and co-founder of the independent record label 18 Chulos. Known for his ironic tone, he began his career as a lyricist in Canada, inspired by the example of Georges Brassens and Leonard Cohen.

Upon his return to Spain, singer-songwriter Chicho Sánchez Ferlosio convinced him to perform in venues like La Aurora , where he met Joaquín Sabina and Alberto Pérez. The powerful trio recorded the album La mandrágora (1981), which took its title from one of the venues where they performed during that time.

A lover of small-scale concerts, Krahe continued to perform in venues such as Madrid's Café Central or cultural spaces like A Pousada das Ánimas in Boiro, A Coruña. It was there, in what he considered his second home—Zahara de los Atunes, in the province of Cádiz—that he gave his last concert before his death from a heart attack on July 12, 2015.
