Marta de Gonzalo and Publio Pérez
The virtual artists Marta de Gonzalo y Publio Pérez Prieto (Madrid, 1971 / Mérida, 1973) have lived and worked in Madrid since 1996, after meeting at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. Between 1999 and 2003 they were part of the collective project Raw Inner CircusThey directed the Injuve residencies for young artists between 2005 and 2007. They are secondary school teachers and in recent years have developed the project The intentionon education and audiovisual literacy. They currently co-lead the working group The boundaries of the CA2M.
They have exhibited at the Théâtre National and Galerie Tinbox (Bordeaux), the Patio Herreriano Museum (Valladolid), Intermediae Matadero (Madrid), Fundació La Caixa (Lleida), Fundació Espais (Girona), MediaLabMadrid, MEIAC (Badajoz), and Sala Europa (Badajoz), among other venues. They have participated in group exhibitions at the ZKM (Karlsruhe), Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop, Koldo Mitxelena Kulturunea (San Sebastián), and the Conde Duque Cultural Center in Madrid.
Her audiovisual works have been shown at the Cervantes Institute in Beijing, Damascus and Beirut; the Filmoteca de Andalucía, Córdoba; Zinebi 46, Bilbao; the Mostra Internacional de Film de Dones, Barcelona or the MNCARS.
