Miguel Aguiló (Madrid, 1945) holds a doctorate in Civil Engineering. He is a professor of History and Aesthetics at the Higher Technical School of Civil Engineers of Madrid. He has served as president of the Canal de Isabel II, Iberia, and Astilleros Españoles (Spanish Shipyards).

He has received the Medal of Honor from the College of Civil Engineers, the Eduardo Torroja International Prize and the National Environment Prize.
