PRINCESS OF AFRICA
Princess of Africa tells the story of two dreams: that of Marem, a 14-year-old Senegalese dancer who longs to emigrate to Europe, and that of Sonia, a Spanish dancer drawn to the magic of Africa. They are connected by Pap Ndiaye, Marem's father and Sonia's husband. But Africa is not as Sonia dreamed (Pap Ndiaye has two other wives), and Europe doesn't fit Marem's preconceived notions (there are no children in the streets, and there is poverty). Princess of Africa is a beautiful story of love, music, and dance, where things are not as they seem and women are the protagonists.
