How do we prepare for this summer?

Experiences of adaptation from energy poverty

UPM Research Meeting with Social Agents and Citizens. Join us for a day of discussion with researchers from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), experts in heat adaptation. We'll share strategies for making our homes cooler and reducing our energy needs during the summer.

We will have the collaboration of participants from the European project CooltoRise, coordinated by the UPM, as well as citizen movements committed to improving urban adaptation to heat, such as "No to Felling" and "Blocks in Transition", among others.

In addition to informational talks, there will be a practical workshop where participants, divided into groups, can exchange heat adaptation strategies and propose improvements for their neighborhoods in preparation for summer. The meeting will conclude with the drafting and reading of a manifesto outlining the workshop's conclusions.

During the event, you'll also have the opportunity to chat with the speakers while enjoying coffee and breakfast. We hope you can join us!

This event is organized by the Scientific Culture Unit of the UPM with the collaboration ofel Círculo de Bellas Artes and the CoolToRise Project and with the support of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT)-Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
