Max Estrella's Night | Theater
In this version, by Francisco Ortuño Millán, of Bohemian lightsThe play explores passages from Valle-Inclán's work featuring his protagonist: Max Estrella, a hyperbolic Andalusian, a blind poet who wanders through an absurd, brilliant, and starving Madrid of the early 1900s. His ill fortune lingers in his final nocturnal drift, and Max, trapped in his blindness, experiences his sonic hallucinations and illuminations in the shadows.
