The Uruguayan coast witnessed the seed of this project being planted. Dolores Aguirre and Julia Ortiz, the voices of Perotá Chingó, set out to travel along this coastline and cover their expenses with their music. The experience was overwhelmingly positive, and they received powerful feedback. Both had previously been involved in other musical projects but had never collaborated on music together. They were joined by Uruguayan guitarist Diego Cotelo and Brazilian percussionist Martín Dacosta. The result is lyrics brimming with charisma and raw emotion, and musically, a compendium of styles that includes Latin American tradition, reggae, and samba.
