Starring Carolina Yuste, Paula F. Lupiañez, and Nieves Chillón. Presented by Marina Patrón

As every year, this special session for International Women's Day brings together women writers to talk about writing, life, and their complex intertwining. This year, on the 120th anniversary of her birth, we want to celebrate the poet Josefina de la Torre, and our presenter will be Marina Patrón, PhD in Spanish Literature (with honors) from the Complutense University of Madrid (2023), whose dissertation was dedicated to the Canary Islands author.

Furthermore, the meme we chose to illustrate this session is “Velaske yo soi guapa?” as an ironic way of claiming the autonomy of the female gaze on women, their image and their literature.
