The Casals Quartet celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2027, and in the cycle del Círculo It presents a program that admirably summarizes its three decades of existence, opening with some counterpoints of The Art of Fugue Bach's work, a concern of his later years, continues with two of the pillars of the repertoire, which they have addressed since their beginnings: first, possibly the most popular of the quartets of the Op.20 Haydn's, known as Sun Quartets, # 4, a work in which the depth of the second movement leads surprisingly to an ending dominated by popular character; second, the tragic Death and the maiden Schubert's emblematic work, which recalls in its Andante with variations the song that gives it its title and culminates in a frenetic danse macabre.
