Androiceno. Writing in the Age of Artificial Intelligence
Book presentation by Miguel Ángel Serrano
This work is a critical and literary reflection on the challenges posed by the irruption of artificial intelligence into our lives, especially in the realm of creation. Miguel Ángel Serrano proposes the term "Androicene" to draw attention to a new era in which not only human beings, but also machines, are beginning to profoundly alter the cultural, social, and political landscape.
Through a lucid, committed, and ethically grounded lens, the author analyzes how AI—presented by its proponents as a promise of innovation and well-being—can endanger fundamental rights, render certain groups invisible, and diminish the role of the writer in society. Far from a simplistic rejection of technology, the book argues for the urgent need for debate, regulation, and critical thinking before accepting this radical transformation without reservation. With contributions from other authors and thinkers, Androiceno offers an essayistic exploration of the most profound dilemmas of our time.
With the participation of Miguel Ángel Serrano, author of the book; Valerio Rocco Lozano, director ofel Círculo de Bellas Artes; and Jorge Corrales, general director of CEDRO.
